Overcoming Anxiety

Today I’m feeling so at peace with my life.


The first part of February had me in a place of anxiety and constant worry. I have never experienced an anxiety attack but I do get very worked up and overwhelmed. I find myself stressing over the same things and I tend to shut down.


I knew that I had too much going on in my life and I felt like I was doing a “half-ass” job at everything. I accepted a new job (Yes, I added another one), was trying to keep up with my clients and classes at the gym, scheduling several business trips for the Spring, trying to keep up with my eating and working out, and finding time for my husband. Of course this is a work in progress for me but I wanted to share a few things that have helped me over the last couple of weeks.


So, what did I do to help myself out?


Let’s begin, shall we:

  1. I started saying no to things that I didn’t want to do.

  2. I cut back on all of the classes I was teaching and I designed a training schedule that helps increase my productivity.

  3. I have been using CBD oil for the past couple of months and it is so great for my anxiety and giving me the ability to shut my brain off at night. Want to try my favorite CBD oil? Click here.

  4. I decluttered my house, which helped de-clutter my thoughts. If you haven't read the book, "The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up," this will help you clean up your home.

  5. I have been way more intuitive when it comes to listening to what works for me. If something doesn’t feel right, I am simply not going to stress about it and I move on.

  6. I went on an amazing vacation with the ladies in my family. This trip was self-care to the max and I came back feeling energized, refreshed, and ready to take on the world.

  7. I got back to planning my days, weeks, and months in detail. I am a detail oriented person and this helps me feel so much more at peace when I have things laid out and I know what is coming.

  8. I am doing my best to unplug around 7PM (thank you Jenna Kutcher for this tip). This is the time that I spend with my husband and furbaby.

  9. Podcasts, reading, and happy music. This is how I have to set the tone for my day. I love listening to Jenna Kutcher, Rachel Hollis, Angie Lee, Lori & Chris Harder and Amanda Bucci. They all help me get in the right mindset for work and productivity

  10. Listening to my body and MOVING my body. More cardio has been happening in my world because I have set time aside to do it. This has included walking, sprinting, stair stepping, ect.

  11. Being around positive people who make me happy. Life is so much better when you have positivity in your world!
