When I graduated from high school, I really had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. How can they possibly expect a 18 year old to know what they want to do for the rest of their lives!? I chose to go to school for business because I knew it would assist me with whatever I decided to do.
After I graduated, I found myself in a funk because I was not passionate about my job. It was a struggle to find any motivation to succeed. One evening I was talking to one of my friends and they simply said, “Have you ever thought about getting into the fitness world?” I mean, I love all aspects of the health and fitness industry, I just wasn’t qualified–so I thought.
I started to take action in achieving this goal…I took part in a mastermind freebie called #actionacademy, where Jill Coleman said you have to quit thinking like you can’t do something and focus on how you can. This was a total game changer for me. By changing my mindset, I have never felt so empowered and proud of myself.
Here are a few simple tricks to help shift your perspective of yourself:
Take the negativity out of your life: Do you follow people who make you feel down on yourself? Delete them from your social network. Out of sight, out of mind, and onto the next thing
Instead of thinking about why you can’t do something, think about what it will take to make it happen! I was convinced I wasn’t going to be able to afford the #bestofyou mentorship, but I knew it was something I had to do for my future. I figured out several different ways to make money so I could afford the mentorship.
Look in the mirror everyday and find something you like about yourself. If you aren’t confident in your own skin, it will be hard for you to branch out and make things happen! I have learned to embrace my flaws and if there is something I don’t love about myself, I make a plan to work on it!
By using these three simple tips, you will be on track to changing your mindset. You are amazing and I hope you know how great you are!
