One of the best pieces of advice I ever received was to set big picture goals and then work backwards from there. This is one of the best ways to be able to work backwards to make shit happen.
I am so lucky because I get to work from home, create my own schedule, and travel when I want to. The thing that is challenging about this is I seem to find random things I ‘have’ to get done instead of sitting down and busting out my work. I will be folding laundry thinking about how I should be creating a lead page, or doing the dishes instead of grinding out a new program.
I have found that time-blocking and holding myself accountable is the best way for me to get stuff done. I plan out my day before it happens and I have a SET to-do list of three main things that align with my goals that I have to make happen.
When you have a goal, make sure you are prioritizing what it is going to take to get there. If you want to fit into an old pair of jeans, make sure to prioritize your time so you can hit the gym and the grocery store. Make time every week to plan out your meals so you don’t rely on fast food to feed your family. We all have to make choices if we want to make things happen!
I bring this up because I know that the holidays are right around the corner and we tend to become more relaxed on our fitness goals because we will just start them up again in the new year. Well, let’s call BS on that this year. Set a goal for yourself right now that you are going to finish the year feeling fit, happy, and proud of yourself!
One of the biggest incentives for my new program is that if you complete the challenge, send in before and after pictures, and you write a paragraph explaining how the challenge helped you, you will be put into a drawing to earn your investment back, as well as getting a special prize from me!
Let’s break the trend of not following through on your goals. You can make this happen!
